The attack was carried out by Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SOF).
SOF units managed to disable the mobile S-400 Triumph surface-to-air missile launcher in Uyutne village near Yevpatoria as it was on combat duty.
The S-400, which is worth over $1.26 billion (£960m), is used by the Russian military to detect and destroy air targets at long distances.
Putin has also used it to strike Ukrainian territory during his brutal war.
Dramatic first person drone footage shows a barrage of Kyiv’s kamikaze drones from Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate GUR hurtling towards the moving air defence system.
The launcher was left smoking after the drones exploded upon impact – sparking a huge inferno.
Drone operators used the on board Starlink-supported systems along with the SOF’s FP-2 drones to completely destroy the valuable system.
Russian 92N6E multi-functional radar and autonomous power supply equipment for the S-400 command post were also destroyed, according to reports.
The Ukrainian intelligence specialists also successfully hit the AORL-1AS and P-18 Terek radar systems of the Russian army.
A large ammunition depot belonging to Russia’s 18th army was also hit with devastating drone strikes on October 6.
Separate footage showed kamikaze drones crashing through the depot’s roof at full speed.
Resistance spies working in occupied Crimea pinpointed the location of the Russian assets, according to Kyiv’s top officials.
As Russia’s military assets flounder, Ukraine has unveiled a brand new robot rescuer.
Incredible footage emerged on Friday showing a robot saving a Ukrainian soldier’s life who was trapped behind the Russian lines for 33 days.
The robot navigated through a perilous route and even dodged landmines and drone attacks to retrieve the severely injured soldier.
It comes as the conflict continues to ramp up despite desperate pleas for peace.
Putin ordered a missile and drone onslaught targeting power stations overnight.
Major cities Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro were all hit by power and heating cuts as were Poltava, Kirovohrad, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
Large swaths of Ukraine was plunged into darkness as residents were forced to endure the bitter cold surrounded by bombs.
In Dnipro, a woman was killed and more than a dozen wounded in a Russian drone offensive which struck an apartment building.
In Kyiv, trucks and facilities were damaged due to a Russian missile and drone strike.
Across in Kharkiv, the metro and electric transport networks were all stopped due to strikes on the energy sector.
Water supplies were also hit, with a gas company worker killed.
