The shock event was to celebration of her .

But if British fans are feeling left out, then fear not.

I understand plans are in the pipeline for a series of live shows to mark the latest record.

Madonna’s last global trek was three years ago, when she kicked off her delayed 81-date Celebration Tour with four nights at London’s O2 in October 2023.

But I’m told this time, Madge’s return to the stage won’t be on another gruelling tour.

A source said: “Performing is everything to and she is going all out to make sure this era is one of her greatest.

“Her last run of shows were all about her legacy, but now she’s reinvigorated to be an innovator.

“She’s currently mulling over a number of live show options for a handful of dates.

“A full-scale world tour is not in the works.”

It is believed that Madonna’s long-time touring partner Live Nation, who have helped mastermind some of the world’s biggest tours, are onboard with the project.

As she took to the stage in the Big Apple, Madonna proved age is just a number as she danced her way through a high-energy set in a pink corset and fishnets.

Thousands flocked to the centre of for the performance, and her proud daughter Mercy was among those in the crowd.

On stage, Madge writhed around with dancers on a rotating platform and even swung her leg over a perspex railing — not bad going for a woman of 67.

During the six-song set, Madonna performed Get Together and I Love New York — which featured on her original Confessions On A Dancefloor album — for the first time since 2006.

And minutes before popping out of a billboard on to a ledge, she dropped the third track from her upcoming record, called Love Sensation.

It was at the top of the iTunes chart yesterday, ahead of ’s track I Knew It, I Knew You.

Vowing to keep the party going, and in a dig at who last month announced she thinks the “dancefloor is dead”, Madonna said: “People think that is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong.

“The dancefloor is not just a place, it’s a threshold. It’s a ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”

I was lucky enough to get an exclusive first listen of the record, which is out on July 3, alongside Madonna’s super-producer Stuart Price a few weeks back.

Take it from me, her fans are in for an absolute treat.
