WHEN Alan Carr ’murdered’ Paloma Faith in plain sight on The Celebrity Traitors last year, some wondered if their close friendship would ever recover.

But they’ve kissed and made up with the gift of a huge new role on

I can reveal is set to recruit the for his panel of wildcard detectives on the new series, which will begin filming next month.

Alan, Paloma and — plus one other yet-to-be-named star — are lined up to go against the original pack of , , and in the hit show.

A source said: “Paloma made no secret of the fact she was furious Alan had forced her exit from so swiftly, killing her in plain sight by touching her face.

“But they reconciled and Alan has sealed the reunion with a lovely new job offer.

“Paloma will be fantastic value on The Masked Singer as she’s an incredible music artist with an ear for tone and musicality so her guesses will come from a place of real experience.

“But she’s also great on the box because she’s so much fun.

“Her relationship with Alan is also well-known to viewers, so was a real draw for execs.”

Paloma was raging when she learnt it was Alan who’d booted her off hit show, ranting: “Categorically, he had a choice — maybe it was the easiest option, but it was the choice he made and I don’t think it was very nice.”

But she later relented and added: “When they told me [it was Alan] I was completely shocked and couldn’t believe it, because it [he] was like one of two people I knew in there.

“But he’s just the most wonderful human being, you just can’t . . . you just look at him and think, ‘Oh my God, I love you so much. It’s completely impossible for me to hold a grudge.”
