Now the singer, who shares her four-year-old twin daughters with the Turkish club Fatih Karagümrük center forward, 34, has opened up about a “strange time” in their relationship that caused her to “lose trust.”

In a candid conversation with fellow pop star, 44, on her Mad Sad Bad podcast, she explained how her husband had left her “heartbroken.”

The chart-topping artist said: “I went through a bit of a strange time with my husband, actually, and I think that kind of dishonesty and loss of trust felt like a betrayal.

“Heartbreak is intense; it’s dreadful, especially when it’s someone you’re deeply in love with and who can hurt you.”

She added: “I believe that the person must truly want to change, and he did.

“You can face challenges in a relationship, but if they aren’t willing to change for you, then forget it.

“They must put in the effort and turn things around because, ultimately, it’s not your fault.”

She then shared that her husband, with whom she welcomed their children in 2021, sought therapy for assistance.

The My Love songstress continued: “He attended therapy, and I think what really benefited us was that he started playing abroad, giving him more time to reflect and realize that his previous actions were not conducive to a successful relationship; they were selfish.”

Leigh-Anne emphasized that she believes it is “acceptable to forgive” someone as part of the “healing” process and that forgiveness should not be perceived as a weakness.

Fortunately, she expressed that the couple is now in a “beautiful place” in their relationship.

LEARNING TO FORGIVE

Former star Leigh-Anne continued to delve into her emotions, offering a rare glimpse into her private life.

The singer often keeps her home life discreet, often obscuring her children's faces in social media posts.

However, feeling at ease during the conversation, she shared: “I learned the power of forgiveness.

“I’m still with the person who broke my heart, and he has gone out of his way to change for me.

“I think if you can truly overcome those challenges, it makes it all worthwhile.

“Some might question, why are you still with them? Or why are you giving them another chance?

“That may be seen as a weakness or not prioritizing yourself, but only you know what is genuinely right for you.”

She reflected on her partner, with whom she has been since 2016: “If that person can genuinely demonstrate their desire to change, you cannot force someone to change, but if they actively work on themselves, that speaks volumes.

“Personally, I had to navigate these struggles in our relationship to reach the point where we are now, which is truly beautiful.”

TOUGH TIMES

In a different discussion last year, Leigh-Anne revealed that her family situation had become “challenging.”

This was due to Andre playing in Turkey for the football season, while the family remained in the UK.

On the Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed podcast, she explained the dynamics, stating: “Even now, with my husband living abroad, we probably see each other, if we’re lucky, three days a month.

“It’s incredibly difficult.”

She confirmed that he was living in Turkey
