Europa League: Amorim reveals why he is ‘worried’ about facing Tottenham in final

Published on May 09, 2025 at 06:35 AM

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has admitted he is “worried”; about picking up new injuries in his squad ahead of the Europa League final.

The 40-year-old also warned his players that they have won nothing yet after they setting up an all-English affair against Tottenham in Bilbao.

Spurs ensured their own spot with a 2-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in Norway, while United came from behind to win 4-1.

The two Premier League clubs will now look to salvage their terrible seasons with silverware and a Champions League ticket.

“I’m just worried about the next game, trying to not get any injuries for the final. If we don’t win the final, it means nothing for us,”; Amorim said.

“We have to have a full squad [against Tottenham], stay in the game and have a bit of luck and we have to be clinical.

“It’s quite similar for me and Ange [Postecoglou]. It is a tough moment [for us both] and one of us is going to win. It’s going to be a big final and we will try to win.”;
