Her stalker—an ex-lover—had allegedly followed her to Dubai and deceived a maid into allowing him access to her hotel room.
Nikulina expressed her fears after the police reportedly failed to provide protection.
Three weeks prior to her murder, the flight attendant recorded a video stating: “I am making this video to expose the person who is tormenting me and who will likely kill me soon.”
The man she identified in the video, Albert Robertovich Morgan, 41, has been detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of her murder.
He was apprehended after returning to Russia from Dubai.
In her distressing account, Nikulina recounted how police did not take any action to protect her despite her repeated formal complaints over the years.
In a video dated November 27, she mentioned wanting to reveal the man “tormenting me and who will likely kill me soon…”
“Albert has attacked me multiple times, and I reported an incident on November 19 regarding an attack on me and my mother, which was dismissed.
“I have filed hundreds of statements with the 9th police department in St. Petersburg.”
“My [Russian] airline, Pobeda, is aware of my situation.
“He was also seen at my workplace, and the police did not assist me either.
“I was beaten and tortured repeatedly, and I documented the assaults.
“My identity documents were destroyed. I was robbed.”
Morgan is a Russian legal consultant who previously changed his surname to align with the renowned US banking family JP Morgan after serving seven years in prison for drug offenses.
He is now accused of using deception to gain entry into her room.
His alleged accomplice, a bailiff from St. Petersburg, reportedly followed Nikulina through the hotel lobby to determine her room number.
Morgan then allegedly “stole a hotel robe from the laundry section at the Voco Bonnington Dubai five-star hotel and convinced a maid to let him into Anastasia’s room, claiming he had forgotten his key.”
Earlier reports suggest he accused her of working as an escort with VIP passengers during their relationship.
Nikulina was said to be in “complete shock” upon discovering her alleged stalker in her room.
A confrontation ensued, during which he allegedly stabbed her repeatedly with scissors.

Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that Morgan allegedly poured antiseptic dye over her body before fleeing the hotel.
The suspect reportedly boarded a flight back to Russia shortly after the murder.
Dubai police identified him through hotel CCTV footage and notified Russian authorities, who arrested him upon his arrival in St. Petersburg.
Upon his return, Morgan allegedly requested to be sent to fight in the war in Ukraine, a controversial path some alleged criminals have taken to evade prosecution under Russian law.
Despite this, he was seen in court wearing a hat and mask as a judge remanded him in custody for two months pending the investigation.
Reports indicate that Morgan and Nikulina lived together for a time and were married for two years before separating. She had previously withdrawn domestic abuse complaints against him.
Nikulina worked for the Russian airline Pobeda, owned by state carrier Aeroflot, but had plans to transition into private jet work “despite his disapproval.”
