Roy Cowley, one of the UK’s leading aesthetic practitioners, anticipated this issue and has introduced what he refers to as “the solution for Ozempic face” and post-weight-loss skin sagging.
3D ReFIRM is the first treatment specifically designed to address skin laxity and muscle loss that can occur from rapid weight loss due to medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro.
This treatment can be applied to both the face and body, utilizing a combination of radiofrequency, infrared light, and massage to firm up loose skin.
“Everyone rushed to celebrate the weight-loss revolution,” Roy stated. “But no one paused to consider the consequences. I did. I recognized the skin laxity crisis on the horizon and developed a solution before it became a widespread issue.”
“People assume that the hardest part is losing the weight – but the real challenge begins afterward. Skin doesn’t always naturally regain its firmness, especially after rapid weight loss. 3D ReFIRM aims to restore the tone, firmness, and confidence that individuals deserve.”
“I’ve had clients in tears because they finally reached their ideal weight, but when they look in the mirror, they don’t recognize their own body. This treatment changes that. It firms, lifts, and empowers them to regain control over their appearance.”
After more than 20 years shaping the UK aesthetics landscape – with a notable client list including various celebrities – Roy, founder of 3D Aesthetics , claims he foresaw the weight loss injection crisis “a year before it occurred.”
He diligently worked on a pioneering non-invasive treatment that merges radiofrequency skin tightening with electromagnetic muscle stimulation.
Roy asserts that clinical trials have demonstrated up to an 80 percent improvement in skin firmness, addressing the loose, crepey skin many individuals experience after significant weight loss.
Amy Childs, who recently experienced a significant two-stone weight loss due to stress related to her mother's health, has shared her journey. She briefly used weight loss injections two years ago but stopped after feeling unwell.
In a recent video on Instagram, she expressed: “So guys, I’m on a journey to feel my most confident self. After having four children and managing weight loss and stress, my body has gone through a lot! But now is the perfect time to reset and set new goals.”
The reality star also discussed a treatment that claims to “help tighten and firm” the abdomen after losing some elasticity.
A representative for Amy informed The Sun: “Two years ago, she briefly experimented with weight loss injections, but they made her feel unwell, prompting her to stop immediately.
What is 3D ReFIRM?
The 3D ReFIRM treatment combines radiofrequency energy, infrared light, and 'mechanical massage' to target loose or sagging skin.
The radiofrequency penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening existing collagen fibers. The infrared light promotes circulation and deep tissue heating, further enhancing collagen and elastin production. Meanwhile, the mechanical massage improves circulation and reduces fluid retention, contributing to a smoother skin texture. This comprehensive 3-in-1 approach delivers a ‘3D effect’ – tightening skin while enhancing its overall tone and texture.
“After having her children, she wanted to feel like herself again and collaborated with a nutritionist, which helped her achieve healthy weight loss.
“Still, she was left with a tummy that felt jiggly and loose. This year, after her mother became ill, she lost more weight due to stress, which she has openly discussed on the show, as well as the stress of canceling a wedding.
“Following this, she has felt a renewed motivation to focus on her health.”
