BOURNEMOUTH are now seven points back from the top six after failing to win away at Burnley.

Burnley boss Scott Parker, who also used to manage the Cherries, saw his troops huff and puff to make a breakthrough without creating any golden chances.

The home side is eight points from safety in 19th place in the Premier League.

Bournemouth had slightly more possession with 60 percent of the play and 19 shots on goal, but just two of those were on target.

Both sides struggled to make a real impression on the game despite plenty of effort.
