KIMI ANTONELLI has been struck down with a VIRUS ahead of Sunday’s potential F1 title deciding race.
Mercedes put out a statement confirming that would not be present for Thursday’s media day due to picking up a “viral illness”.

Mercedes said: “Kimi is feeling under the weather today as he recovers from a viral illness.
“As a precaution, the FIA have excused him from his mandatory media duties to give him the chance to rest ahead of the weekend.
“We expect him to be back tomorrow. Thanks for understanding.”
Practise for the race in Mexico City starts on Friday at 18:30 GMT.
Antonelli will win his first ever world title and become the youngest winner in F1 history as long as he does not lose more than two points to team-mate George Russell and one-point to.
The only way he could be stopped from sealing the title is if one of Russell and Hamilton wins.
