The Lagos State 2023 Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, states that his goal of becoming the next governor of the state aims to enhance inclusive governance and development.
The Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement shared this information during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday.
Jandor emphasized that his aspiration is not just about personal ambition; it is about shaping a collective vision for the future of Lagos.
“It is about stewardship, creating a Lagos where opportunity, innovation, and prosperity are available to everyone,” Adediran remarked.
He mentioned that he is vying for Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s position to reinforce accountability, transparency, and service delivery. He expressed his strong belief in party supremacy and indicated that he would defer his ambitions to the party's decisions for 2027.
According to him, his team will work diligently to ensure that the APC not only achieves electoral success but also provides meaningful services to the people of Lagos.
“Today, we are part of the APC, and we are pleased to return to where we truly belong. In 2023, I contested for the highest office in the state.
“I was on the ballot, not an accidental candidate. I secured the ticket to run for governor in 2023 as a member of a major political party, which is the PDP, and we remain committed to that path.
“I am also here in the APC to continue from where we left off. I am running. I am running for the governorship in Lagos state in 2027.
“We will adhere to the internal democracy of the party within the APC, and whatever the party decides, we will work for the party. I am running for governor of Lagos state in 2027 under the APC,” he added.
