COPS have launched an urgent manhunt after a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted on a bus.
The alleged attack took place on the number 68 Stagecoach service, which left Preston Bus Station at about 10.30pm on Halloween.
Lancashire Police say she was assaulted by a man during the journey.
She managed to get off the bus at The Square in St. Annes and get help from a member of the public, said cops.
Cops described the suspect as white, 5ft 11, aged about 20 with short brown messy hair.
He was wearing a black zip windbreaker jacket, blue jeans [and] black Nike 270s.
The force added: “An investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing and the victim is being supported.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have information or who recognises the man in the description to get in touch.
“You can call us on 101 quoting log 1832 or you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The 68 service usually travels on into Blackpool.
However, the Stagecoach timetable shows that the 10.30pm journey from Preston on a Saturday ends at The Square.
