The 2023 Kogi State governorship candidate from the Action Alliance, Olayinka Braimoh, has switched his allegiance to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Braimoh made this announcement on Saturday in Kabba, the headquarters of the Kabba-Bunu local government area.

The former governorship candidate stated that his decision to join ADC stems from his aspiration to bring about change in the leadership landscape of Kogi State, urging residents to join the progressive ADC movement in the state.

“With the caliber of individuals within the party, the ADC coalition is the platform through which I believe my vision for a new Kogi State can be realized.

“The opportunity for coalition-building and the necessity for like-minded individuals to collaborate in overcoming the challenges of poverty and ineffective leadership in our beloved Kogi State compelled me to join the ADC, which also offers a more substantial platform for contesting,” he explained.

“Kogi State currently ranks low in terms of leadership effectiveness, given the potential, capabilities, and intellectual resources that this state possesses.

“It appears that those who are least qualified are leading, while the most capable individuals have yet to have the opportunity to take the helm. This is why we chose to join the coalition to advance our state,” he concluded.
