WREXHAM are set for a glitzy pre-season blockbuster against Premier League giants Liverpool in the iconic 46,500-capacity Yankee Stadium.

The Red Dragons, famously owned by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will face the Reds in as part of Liverpool’s summer tour of the .

Multiple sources say the match will be staged at the home of MLB’s New York Yankees.

The same venue will also hosts side New York City FC, in what promises to be a star-studded Stateside showdown.

will play three matches in total following the World Cup in North America, coming up against Wrexham, Leeds and Sunderland in a mini, series across the final week of July and the first weekend of August.

Games are pencilled in for Nashville, New York and Chicago, with the Reds keeping their travel to the east coast and midwest.

The series is being organised by TEG Sport, the same promoters who staged Manchester United’s sell-out clash with Liverpool at Williams-Brice Stadium in South Carolina in 2024.
