Authorities have initiated an urgent search following an incident where three children were approached by a woman who invited them to her home.
The woman is said to have touched one of the children at a popular park in Northamptonshire last month.
Northamptonshire Police reported that she initially offered the children some chewing gum while they were playing in Spring Boroughs’ pocket park.
After one child accepted her offer, she stroked his back and allegedly invited him to her home for a hot drink.
The children then ran away from the woman, who is described as being in her late 50s with grey hair.
She was reportedly wearing a pink hooded top featuring a doughnut pattern, according to the police.
The police stated: “Were you present in the Boroughs’ pocket park on Tuesday, September 30, between 4:30 PM and 5 PM?
“We are seeking witnesses after a woman approached three children playing in the pocket park and offered them chewing gum.
“After one of the children accepted the gum, the woman stroked his back over his clothing and invited him to her home for a hot drink.
“This prompted the children to flee and alert authorities.
“The suspect is described as a white woman in her late 50s, of slim build, with medium-length grey hair.
“She was wearing a distinctive pink hooded/snood-style top adorned with a doughnut pattern.
