Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has revealed his tactical plan to stop Barcelona in their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

Speaking after their 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge, Maresca said he instructed his team to starve the LaLiga champions of the ball.

The Blues took the lead through a Jules Kounde own goal in the first half, before Ronald Araujo was sent off for Barca.

Willian Estevao and Liam Delap then added two more goals after the break, as Chelsea bounced back from a disappointing draw against Qarabag.

“Barcelona are a team that feel comfortable when they have the ball,” Maresca said.

“If they don’t have the ball, they don’t feel comfortable so we tried to keep the ball.

“Even 11v11, my feeling was very good because the team was playing well.”
