Brand began diluting his vast wealth prior to standing trial for rape, despite always protesting his innocence, a Sun probe has revealed.
Legal experts expect the former comedian and actor will be subject to significant financial claims from victims on both sides of the Atlantic after he was found guilty of rape and three sexual assaults last week.
But we can reveal any compensation payouts may be in jeopardy after a series of secret business manoeuvres ahead of his criminal trial, including moving £8.7million out of his TV and stand-up company last year.

In 2023, just weeks after a damning , he resigned as a director of film processing company Mayfair Film Partnership.
It has assets of £2million – and now sits dormant.
former managers are listed as the company directors.
A source told The Sun: “Brand may have protested his innocence, but it appears he started preparing for a guilty verdict as soon as the allegations came out.
“It looks like he’s tried to limit his finances as best he can as he knows he’s a walking compensation case for his vile crimes.”
Mystery surrounds another movie firm, Christian YouTuber, which quit after he was accused.
Despite resigning as a director of One Arm Bandit in September 2023, name still appeared on latest company accounts covering the year to April 2025.
His former managers are listed as directors of the firm, which has assets of £111,000.
Brand also had programme and production company Stay Free Media struck off in May after a failure to file up-to-date accounts.

He formed it in February 2022 with his wife , who co-presented a weekly podcast with her husband and is the mother of their three children.
Legal experts now expect to face a string of civil claims from his victims, including other women who may not have testified in his criminal trial, with potential six-figure payouts.
Paul McGinn, partner in the abuse team at law firm Bolt Burdon Kemp, said compensation awards can help victims get much-needed therapy after traumatic experiences.
He said: “In cases like this, a civil claim can play an important role alongside the criminal process, offering a different route to justice. While the criminal courts are concerned with determining guilt and imposing sanctions, a civil claim focuses on the survivor, the harm they have suffered, and the impact the abuse has had on their life. Compensation can help provide access to therapy and treatment, as well as address financial losses and other consequences arising from the abuse.”
Brand’s other assets include a mansion worth around £5million at Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, where he lived with Laura, 39, and their three young children.
But it has emerged he applied to transfer ownership to Laura on September 15 – a month before his rape trial began.
Until any change is approved, the six-bedroom property, which he bought for £3.3million in 2016, is registered solely in Brand’s name.
He also owns property in , which he could be forced to sell as he is also being pursued for damages from some alleged victims in the US, where he moved to launch his film career.
In the 2023 Dispatches documentary he was accused of in July 2012, and sexually assaulting another woman in the city.
A claim in London has already been lodged by a woman seeking £100,000 over claims Brand forced himself on her at his LA mansion in 2008.
Brand is also facing a civil claim in New York, where a woman alleged he sexually assaulted her on the set of 2011 comedy Arthur.
None of the claims were heard during his rape trial at Southwark crown court.

Spencer Kuvin, a US attorney for victims of the late paedophile , said: “Authorities in the United States would be interested in any conviction in the UK.
“In civil you’re given much more leeway to utilise evidence in other proceedings.”
Mr Kuvin said victims in the States could potentially sue Brand for at least £750,000.
Another legal expert said British victims could typically sue for six-figure sums depending on the level of abuse they had suffered and ongoing trauma related to it.
Six women gave evidence against Brand during his trial. His four confirmed victims – all in their 20s – came forward after the 2023 telly documentary.
He was found guilty of raping a fan at his £2.3million North London home after they met at his 2009 stand-up comedy show at Hammersmith Apollo.
Brand was also convicted of sexually assaulting an MTV worker during a party at a bar in London’s Soho in 2004.
He was acquitted by the jury of going on to rape her in a toilet.
He was found guilty of sexually assaulting a Choice FM worker after encountering her in a corridor at London’s Capital Radio building in 2004 or 2005.
Brand was also convicted of sexually assaulting a Channel 4 worker when she had been forced to give him a massage in 2009.
But he was found not guilty of raping a woman he met at a cabaret show during the 1999 Labour Party conference in Bournemouth.
He was also cleared of trying to drag an MTV worker into a toilet to indecently assault her in 2001.

Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones KC described Brand in court as a “ruthless, calculated and manipulative sexual predator” who viewed women as the “amusement in his playground of orgasms”.
After the jury’s verdicts on Thursday, told the defendant: “You’ve been convicted of a number of offences including rape.
“The consequence of that is inevitably a significant custodial term.”
Brand, who had claimed that all of his sexual encounters were consensual, was remanded into custody at HMP Wandsworth in South West London, where he spent this weekend.
The also revealed that he is under investigation for two more alleged rapes and could face further charges.
It comes after his 2024 conversion to Christianity, culminating in a baptism in the River Thames by adventurer and TV show host .
Brand could now follow in the footsteps of TV star , who liquidated his assets following his child sex abuse convictions.
Harris had amassed a £16million fortune but he died penniless aged 93 in 2023 aged 93.
He was jailed for five years and nine months in 2014 for 12 indecent assaults on four underage girls between 1968 and 1986.
