A mother has received accolades after revealing how she transformed a worn Little Tikes car into a brand new Disney-inspired Lightning McQueen.

Britney successfully purchased the toy vehicle on Marketplace for just five dollars, envisioning a way to make it something her son would adore.

She documented the makeover on her TikTok page, explaining that she began by giving the car a thorough cleaning.

Next, she shielded the wheel and key, and applied a glossy red spray paint – three cans from Amazon at £3.80 each.

Britney then purchased some decal stickers and added them to the car, at which point she said she “started to see progress.”

The final step was painting the eyes white.

“I still need to apply another coat and seal all the paint, but I’m absolutely in love with it – and my 3-year-old will be thrilled,” she added.

“My little boy is going to LOVE this – I’m super pleased with how it turned out!”

Viewers were quick to commend Britney in the comments section of her TikTok, with one user stating: “You’ve inspired me with the best idea for my 3-year-old!”

“It looks amazing, great job!”

“What a fantastic idea!! Thank you,” Britney responded.

“This is really sooooo cool!” another person commented.

“I’m genuinely impressed,” a third user praised.

“I love projects like this!” someone else said.

“You’re saving the planet while making your little one happy, showcasing your incredible skills.”

“Wow, mom goals!”

“That looks fabulous – such a creative concept,” another user wrote.
