A WOMAN who was told she had zero chance of conceiving says she had a miracle baby thanks to fat jabs.

After years of struggling with her weight, Alaina started taking Mounjaro jabs, which helped her shed pounds – and within months, she fell pregnant, with baby Robin born in OctoberCredit: Roland Leon
She faced years of struggle with her weight and gave up hope of having a baby until she started having and the pounds fell away.
Within months, she became pregnant and baby Robin arrived in October.
Alaina said: “Being a mum is the best thing. It’s amazing. His giggles, his smiles. Just looking at him. I can’t believe I made something so cute.
“I am as certain as I can be that Mounjaro is the reason he’s here.”
PCOS can cause infertility and weight gain because of higher levels of typically male hormones.
Alaina tried treatment and repeatedly fought to lose weight but for 15 years nothing seemed to work.
She calorie-counted, tried fasting, did for a year, had 3D liposuction and even considered a gastric band. But her weight crept up until she was 19st with a BMI of 41.
Alaina, of Worcester, said she and fiancé Peter Goode, 36, forgot about becoming parents so spent their on , their house and on their nieces and nephews.
She said: “It was frustrating and upsetting. There were years of crying. All my friends who wanted kids had them and I struggled with jealousy.”
But after a false positive pregnancy test in June 2024 she was spurred on to give her dream one more go.
She started having Mounjaro jabs in October 2024 — dropped from 19st to 15st and became pregnant a year ago.
Alaina said: “It lessened the symptoms of PCOS and gave me the opportunity to fall pregnant.
“I’m sure there is something in Mounjaro that works to improve fertility. It’s been a miracle drug for me.”
Alaina, who is studying forensic and applied biology in the hope of becoming an embryologist, plans to go back on Mounjaro later this year to hit her target weight of 12 stone.
