Always remember the name of Lance Corporal George Hooley, who this week became the first member of the UK Armed Forces to lose his life in Ukraine since the Russian invasion.
A photograph of the young paratrooper was released, showing him holding a beer in one hand, his dog Mabel tucked under his other arm, and a broad smile on his face.

George was 28 years old.
He lost his life in what the Ministry of Defence described as a “tragic accident” while observing the testing of a new defense system. Two Ukrainians also died in the incident.
In response to his death, officials reacted with their typical disdain, claiming that any foreign serviceman is a “legitimate target.”
The heartbreaking loss of George coincides with the week we were cautioned that war is imminent.
“Prepare for the scale of war our grandparents and great-grandparents faced,” warned officials.
As we gaze at the smiling face of this young soldier, those words do not seem exaggerated.
Once, it was unimaginable that Russia would dare to attack a member state of NATO.
However, Russian planes have crossed over Estonia, and Russian drones have breached the airspace over Norway and Poland. Additionally, a Russian submarine was tracked through the English Channel.
February will mark four years since Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.
Despite inflicting one million casualties upon his own troops, he has not subdued Ukraine. Yet, he has been emboldened.
This is not due to Russia's limited battlefield successes.
Rather, it stems from his relationship with the President of the United States.
That is why he can prevent the conflict from escalating before it begins.
I believe Trump genuinely desires peace in Europe.
Nevertheless, lasting peace will remain elusive if the United States continues to regard Putin's Russia as a respected ally.
If the President wishes for peace — and I am confident he does — it is time for his ineffectual negotiators to cease making concessions to Putin.
Only the American President can make Putin understand that he will never be permitted to construct a new Russian empire on the mass graves of Ukraine
The American peace negotiations have been led by his son-in-law and his business associates — two real estate developers who will never be mistaken for diplomats.
It is time for Donald Trump to take direct control of the negotiations.
This would be well-received in America, where over 60 percent of adults support continuing to supply weapons to Ukraine.
Only the American President can make Putin aware that he will never be allowed to build a new Russian empire on the mass graves of Ukraine.
Ukraine's president has shown a willingness to negotiate a peace plan.
It is Putin, bolstered by his relationship with the American President, who lacks the will to end this war.
The worst conflict in Europe since 1945 shows no signs of resolution without direct intervention from the President of the United States.
Indeed, it is likely to escalate into a broader, more violent conflict.
President Trump could become the greatest architect of peace in our time.
But only if the President starts being as firm with Putin as he is with Zelensky.
And remember, Mr. President — Putin initiated this conflict.

GEORDIE Shore star has signed up for the next Celebrity Apprentice and posed in an outfit resembling a Baywatch-era swimsuit paired with a matching nightgown.
I suppose it must have been Dress Down Friday, Lord Sugar…
