DISNEY+ is set to become the new home of Formula E from the start of the 2026-27 season.
The sport was previously aired on after striking a deal to host coverage in 2023.

The new broadcasting package – which also includes ESPN+ in the US – will start with the Saudi Arabian E-Prix on December 18.
The season will wrap up with the final race in Tokyo on July 25, 2027.
It will also feature the debut of the GEN4 era, which will deliver 600kW of power – providing cars with an acceleration of 0-60 in around 1.8 seconds.

Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds said the new deal would help bring new fans to the sport and accelerate its growth.

“Disney’s unrivalled global reach and storytelling will introduce Formula E to millions of new fans while bringing them closer than ever to the drama, innovation and excitement of electric racing.
“As we enter the GEN4 era, this provides an exceptional platform to accelerate our global growth and continue building one of the world’s most exciting sports properties.
“We’re also excited by the opportunity to explore additional ways for Formula E and Disney to work together beyond live race coverage, creating even more innovative and engaging experiences for fans in the years ahead.”

Disney’s direct-to-consumer chief Joe Early added: “Formula E combines world-class competition, groundbreaking technology, and sustainability in a way that’s unlike any other sport.
“We’re excited to help power the championship’s next chapter on Disney+ and to give fans around the globe front row access to every adrenaline-fueled race as it happens.”
Formula E debuted in 2014 and is currently in its 12th season.
The current season will end with the London E-Prix on August 15 and 16.
The latest broadcasting deal will add to a range of sports being shown on Disney+, including LaLiga matches, Women’s Champions League.
It also aired coverage of the 2026 World Cup in select territories this summer.
