THE One Show host Angela Scanlon has revealed how a “creepy” celebrity guest on the programme once made a slimy remark to her just before she went live on air.
Talking on the Where There’s A Will, There’s a Wake podcast the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant didn’t identify the male star.

But married mother-of-two Angela revealed how they looked at her and asked if she was “wearing panties” underneath her clothes.
She said “I was doing a live show one day and before we started recording.
“It was myself and a male co-host and there was a male guest who’s very, very well-known.
“He was sat opposite me, and I’m like a busy woman, I was like learning where we were going, I was understanding when the VTs were dropping and whatever else.
“I welcomed him in with open arms and I sat down and did what I had to do, which is my job, which is what he was there to do, presumably.
“Anyway, just before we went live, he turned around to me and he said – I was wearing jeans and a blazer, not that that should matter – but he said: ‘Are you wearing panties underneath those?’
“And then, boom, we are live on air.”
Angela said she didn’t know what to do and instead of confronting him just carried out her duties as a consummate host, but admitted she was “ready to burst” and wanted to expose him on air for what he’s just said.
Angela added: “He was such a creep. It was too much.
“The raging internal conflict because I’m a woman who stands up for herself, but I’d have been unprofessional if I had in that situation.”
Angela kicked off her career as a fashion journalist before moving into TV presenting in her native Ireland.
She got her big break in the UK in 2016 when she joined The One Show as a reporter and later became one of its regular presenters.
The 41-year-old has also fronted BBC2’s Robot Wars reboot alongside Dara Ó Briain .
She also hosted her own interior design series, Your Home Made Perfect.
