Becks Bloomberg was right behind her – walking away from Towie after just a year – and just six months after his debut.

Now , 36 – one of the original stars of Towie – has shared her thoughts on why some people are just a flash in the pan.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun ahead of her and husband Billy Delbosq’s , she said: “When it comes to reality TV, you’ve got to be completely yourself. You can’t try to be something you’re not.

“I was the same person going into the show 16 years ago as I am now. I’m still just as ditzy! I’ve never put anything on.

“These people coming onto shows like Towie are trying to be something they’re not to get a name for themselves. That will never work.”

Towie launched way back in 2011 and Amy thinks there’s a very simple reason why it’s still as popular as ever 15 years later

“People can really relate to us,” she said. “With some of the other shows, I won’t say which ones, viewers can’t relate to them.

“It’s got family, it’s got love, it’s got arguments and drama… it’s the whole package. Everyone loves that. It’s real life. I wouldn’t do a reality show if I wasn’t going to put my whole life on it.

“This is us. They [Towie producers] might set the scene, they might put the cameras up, but it’s completely real.”
