Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a close associate of Chibuike Amaechi, has cautioned Edo North Senator Adams Oshiomhole to refrain from criticizing the former Minister of Transportation and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
According to DAILY POST, Oshiomhole, during an appearance on Channels TV's “Politics Today,” described Amaechi as ‘the most terrible’ and accused him of mismanaging the rail system throughout his ministerial term.
Oshiomhole questioned why Amaechi chose to construct a train track to Niger Republic while his own state, Rivers, lacked such infrastructure.
The former governor of Edo State also criticized Amaechi’s role in the APC's victory in 2015.
However, in a statement released on Thursday, Eze remarked that Oshiomhole and his allies within the APC were feeling increasingly agitated at the prospect of their impending defeat.
Eze stated that the gross incompetence of President Bola Tinubu has caused the nation to plunge into disarray.
“Oshiomhole is among those who, if the systems were functioning properly in Nigeria, would be behind bars. Instead, he serves as one of Bola Ahmed Tinubu's puppet Senators to avoid prosecution,” Eze's statement asserted.
“Amaechi speaks truth to power because he has no hidden secrets,” he added.
“Individuals like Oshiomhole should be ashamed while patriots like Amaechi strive to liberate the country,” he said.
Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary of the now-defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), emphasized that Amaechi believes in due process and non-violence, and deserves respect for consistently standing by what is right.
He urged Oshiomhole to direct his negativity elsewhere, emphasizing that Amaechi is focused on national issues and the liberation of Nigeria, rather than seeking attention from him.
Eze asserted that Amaechi has no regrets about revitalizing and transforming the previously neglected rail system in Nigeria and that his strategic plan for the development of the rail sector from the South South and South East to the North East continues to be followed, albeit slowly and selectively, by the current Minister of Transportation.
Regarding the closure of the judiciary during Amaechi's administration, Eze advised Oshiomhole to educate himself on the facts.
“That was when his ally Wike attempted to use five lawmakers to impeach a sitting governor, which was against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Eze explained.
“Oshiomhole should be ashamed of being the first National Chairman of a political party to be impeached by his own ward due to his unsavory actions,” he concluded.
