The Emir of Gudi in Yobe State, Alhaji Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka, on Friday began a personal inspection of schools within his jurisdiction, committing to hold teachers, parents, and community leaders accountable for absenteeism and neglect.

The monarch stated that this inspection was essential to ensure that government investments in education are effectively utilized and to identify challenges that his council could assist in addressing.

The royal leader also expressed concern over the mindset of some parents who prioritize sending their children to work on farms rather than attending school.

β€œI see it as my duty, as the traditional leader of this area, to address this issue. Every parent must ensure their children attend school. Where this is not happening, I will take it very seriously,” he declared.

To establish a systematic approach to monitoring, the Emir has instructed all village and district heads to regularly supervise schools within their respective areas.
