Several kids were playing on the bouncy castle when powerful gusts of wind suddenly swept through the area.
The nearly 10ft tall Minions-themed inflatable was lifted into the air, sending the children playing on it tumbling to the ground.
The bouncy castle was blown across the park, throwing the children around.
It eventually came crashing down as horrified onlookers shrieked in panic.
Two children who were injured in the fall, aged six and seven, received treatment for minor head injuries and were kept under observation.
They were taken to Aurelio Crespo Hospital by their relatives, as there were no emergency or security services on site.
A man was also treated at a private clinic for a head injury after hitting the bouncy castle’s turbine.
The incident occurred on August 16 during a Children’s Day celebration in Cruz del Eje, Argentina.
Children’s day is a day to celebrate children, where they are encouraged to play and enjoy themselves with friends and family, but also to raise awareness of their rights.
After the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959, the United Nations Organization recommended that each country establish a day to promote children’s welfare through cultural and social activities.
What is usually a peaceful day instead caused panic and distress for those attending the festivities.
The Cruz del Eje Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation to establish exactly what happened and to determine whether anyone may be liable.
They will also investigate the role played by the local municipality.
Authorities have already identified the owner of the inflatable.
