WILL Mellor reunited with his old Hollyoaks pal 28 years after quitting the show as he celebrated his 50th birthday in style with a star-studded party.
The popular actor, who played Jambo Bolton between 1995 and 1998 and reprised the role in a Christmas special episode in 2004, was joined by a host of familiar faces at Manchester‘s ONE EIGHT SIX venue.

Among them was , who starred in the C4 soap with Will as Tony Hutchison.
Fans were delighted to see Jambo and Tony back together and called for a screen reunion.
One wrote on Instagram: “Now we definitely need a jambo & Tony reunion again.”
Another said: “Jambo and Tony reunited [heart eyes emoji] love it.”
A third posted: “Love the Jambo and Tony pic!! Xx.”
Both characters appeared in episode one of Hollyoaks. Independent Jambo was a bit of an anti-hero and lived life his way. Mellor saw the character as an extension of himself and his cheeky chappy persona.
Will decided to leave the soap after three years to pursue a pop career, achieving a number five hit with a cover of Leo Sayer’s When I Need You.
For his Christmas return in 2004, he played a ghost in a surreal take on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
He showed Tony, portrayed as Scrooge, the error of his ways and hoped to help him change his life for the better.
On his big night, Will dressed to impress in a light double-breasted suit.

He beamed beside his wife, Michelle, and kids, Jayden and Renee, as they posed in front of gold 50 balloons.
Will captioned his birthday montage: “What a great night this was @one.eight.six for my 50th birthday celebration!! A massive thank you to everyone who came!“
He addressed guests on the night in front of a screen that made it clear he couldn’t believe he was half a century old.
Will held a flute of bubbly as he shared his appreciation for those in the room, before dancing into the night.
Some of the famous faces in attendance commented, and it sounds like a great time was had by all.

Others wondered where Will’s Two Pints co-star was, with numerous posting: “Where is Ralf Little?”
