AFTER making history as the first from his nation to reach the World Snooker Championship finals, the young star broke down.

‘s highest-ranked professional player is now set to compete at the HUGE event kicking off at the Crucible this weekend.

When Rob Walker asked how much the win meant to him, Kowalski said: “The best explanation will be that I never cry.

“That’s the perfect explanation of how much this means to me. I’m over the moon obviously.”

“But this is the only time in history that I’ll think more about saving my tour card other than playing in the theatre of dreams.

“I don’t know what to say, because there are too many emotions in me right now.

“My girlfriend and parents will come to the Crucible, so it’s going to be a special moment.”

Top prize comes in at £500,000 BUT he could be going up against huge names like Zhao Xintong and .

Stan Moody and Liam Pullen will also join Kowalski for their Crucible Theatre debut after surviving Tuesday’s Judgement Day.

The 19-year-old is the first British teenager to qualify for the Crucible since Trump in 2007.

Moody said to the World Tour: “The doctors said to me, ‘we know you are going to say no, but we want you to stay in [hospital],’”

“I said, ‘no, I’ve got a match to play.’ And I’m glad I did. I’m very happy. I don’t really know what to say.”

“But it has been a dream of mine since I started playing. To do it so young, I’m over the moon.”

To add to the occasion, it is also the 50th to be held at the iconic Sheffield venue.

The pairs for the opening round will be drawn on Thursday ahead of Saturday when the competition begins.

The victor will be crowned on May 4.
