“As with all Sky/Mindhouse documentaries this will be a 360 look at the story. It won’t centre on a single contributor but will feature a range of voices to uncover the truth behind the headlines.”

Earlier this week the self-proclaimed millionaire was released from UAE’s Al Awir after a four-month stint inside as he faced multiple allegations.

Among those who were conned was The Sun’s columnist , who was duped out of £1,000 by Lee.

After leaving jail, he then set up a page begging the public for £250,000 so he could leave Dubai, return to the UK where he could attempt to clear his name.

But his ex Alana Percival recently accused him of faking his own death, taking to social media to say: “Lee lies so, so much and told me he was dying once (which was a lie) so I don’t know what to believe…”

The new documentary is still at the development stage but could be completed in time to drop on Sky as early as next year.
