A leader of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to “put on his thinking cap” for himself, his team, and all Nigerians.

Momodu made this appeal on Friday during an interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, in response to the recent warning issued by US President Donald Trump regarding the ongoing violence in Nigeria.

According to a report by DAILY POST, Trump stated that if the Nigerian government “continues to permit the killing of Christians,” action would be taken.

“The president needs to surround himself with individuals who possess the ability to communicate effectively and who will be heard. Not just these political opportunists. The president excels at politicking; he can convince all governors in Nigeria to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, but we have moved beyond that point now.

“Two weeks ago, if someone had told you that President Tinubu would find himself in such a difficult situation, you would have likely dismissed it as impossible.

“I watched him speak last night, and I must admit that I felt empathy for him because this is not an ideal time to be the president of Nigeria. He now needs to put on his thinking cap for himself, for his team, and for all of us in Nigeria,” Momodu remarked.
