Published on May 26, 2025 at 07:29 AM

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have successfully foiled a bandit attack in Jen village, located in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.
This was disclosed by security analyst, Zagazola Makama in a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday night.

According to Makama, the troops responded swiftly to a distress call at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, prompting immediate deployment to the troubled area.

“On sighting the advancing troops, the suspected bandits fled the scene. The soldiers pursued and successfully crossed a nearby river to clear the bandits’ suspected avenue of approach on the opposite side,”;; he stated.

The intervention reportedly thwarted the planned attack and prevented potential casualties or property damage.

The security situation in the area is said to be calm and stable, with troops intensifying patrols and maintaining a strong presence to deter further incursions.
