Arokodare scoops top scorer award in Belgium

Published on May 26, 2025 at 07:28 AM

KRC Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare has won the top scorer award in the Belgian Pro League for the 2024/25 season.

Arokodare registered 21 goals and six assists in 40 league appearances for the Thorsten Fink’s side.

STVV forward Adriano Bertaccini also scored the same number of goals with the Nigeria international.

Arokodare was however recognised as the top scorer because he scored more away goals.

The 24-year-old scored 11 of his goals on the road during the regular season, and scored two more on the road during the playoffs.

Genk, however, failed to win the title, with Union Saint-Gillloise emerging champions after 90 years.
