President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a 10-day working trip to Lagos.
Tinubu arrived in Lagos on September 26, following his attendance at the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, in Ibadan.
The President's return was announced on Monday through a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Onanuga stated that during his time in Lagos, Tinubu engaged with prominent investors, including Bayo Ogunlesi, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, the former Chairman of United Bank for Africa and Etisalat, who is now the Chairman of Metis Capital Partners.
He also met with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, along with the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other leaders in the industry.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's dedication to advancing Nigeria's maritime sector as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.
Highlighting other activities during his visit, Onanuga noted: "In preparation for Nigeria's 65th Independence anniversary, Tinubu traveled to Imo State to inaugurate projects carried out by Governor Hope Uzodimma and launched a book written by the governor that chronicles a decade of APC governance in Nigeria."
