Steven Springett, a star from Married At First Sight, has addressed criticism after his inappropriate behavior was highlighted by upset fans.
At 34 years old, he is married to Nelly, who is 30, and he surprised viewers with his actions.

One fan took to social media to voice her concerns.
She commented: “I assume you are unaware of how the public now, rightfully, perceives you because it’s painfully clear that these comments are all in your favor while the negative ones have been deleted.
“Your behavior and language can be edited however you wish – disrespectful, misogynistic, and abusive. Regardless of how it’s presented, you said those words, and no one else.”
“This is completely unacceptable, and I sincerely hope that watching the show helps you reflect on why you've struggled in the past, as your pattern of behavior is concerning if you do not take any accountability.”
The MAFS groom replied passively: “Thank you, Pamela. I truly appreciate this glowing review of me.”
“Thank you for taking the time out of your busy evening to comment here. I genuinely appreciate it. Have a wonderful evening,” he added, followed by a red heart emoji.
Other fans also weighed in on his behavior.
Fans pointed out his tone and remarked: “Steven can’t even maintain the facade for one Instagram post.”
“It's frightening to think about how he behaves behind closed doors, given how he acts on camera…” another user responded.
A third viewer stated: “I understand that there may be a ‘villain edit’ for any cast member, but I don’t see how this can serve as a blanket excuse for all behavior.”
Another commented: “He strikes me as rather dim. Even if he was upset by that comment, anyone with a bit of PR sense would know to say ‘fair comment, I agree, and I’ve reflected a lot’ or something similar.”
One fan urged: “The best thing anyone can do is stop engaging with this man. He craves fame, so let him fade into obscurity where no one remembers him. That will irritate him more than any interactions on his profile.”
The husband shared an explanation and discussed his ‘secret struggle’ behind the scenes.
He expressed that he was ‘deeply embarrassed’ following the incident.
The situation escalated at the latest dinner party after it was claimed by another cast member before his MAFS appearance.
She alleged that Steven had been boasting about his usage of the dating app Raya during a night out, even sharing that he had slept with someone just two weeks before saying ‘I Do’ to Nelly.
When confronted about rumors of him having a fling with a ‘Z-lister’ prior to the experiment, which was supposedly discussed during a night out among some of the brides and grooms, tensions flared.
Following his outburst, he attempted to redeem himself on social media and wrote: “Watching myself behave like the only c*nt in the room.”
“I can only sincerely apologize for my outbursts during this week of filming. It was an incredibly challenging time for me, and emotions were running extremely high.”
“The conversation between Nelly and me ran deeper BTS [behind the scenes] that week, so tune in on Sunday to see how we progress from here.”
“Also, a shout out to Leah, Leigh (who always speak the truth), Bailey (for being that friend who checks in regularly), and Julia-Ruth for calling out bad behavior that night.”
