While Michelle did not reveal exactly the surgery she underwent, she has been since she was a child.

She has the incurable illness Hydrocephalus – an abnormal build-up of fluid in the brain that causes harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues.

But in a happy turn of events, Michelle showed she had finally been discharged after almost a week, by posting a photo of herself leaning out of a car with her face pointed up to the shining sun.

“She’s broken out of hospital. Now to actually try to stay out of hospital,” Michelle captioned the Instagram story.

“Need to be back on Monday and Tuesday but I’m glad not to have the injections twice a day.”

Last week, Michelle told of how she needed to undergo a 19th surgery after earlier this year.

“Ended up needing emergency surgery.

“So much for Chinese New Year being a fresh start.

“Had surgery on the first day of the year and Chinese new year,” she penned.

She then uploaded another slide which read: “Got two new scars on my neck and collarbone.”

According to the NHS, the damage to the brain from hydrocephalus can cause a wide range of symptoms, which include: headaches, being sick, blurred vision and difficulty walking.

Last month, Michelle had detailed the 18 surgeries she had previously undergone.

“Now had a total of 18 surgeries, three brain surgeries and an abdominal one too,” she penned in the post.

She went on to detail how “Hydrocephalus is the thing that is responsible for the majority of my surgeries and I wish would get more attention because it needs the awareness”.

Michelle added: “I still don’t think my valve is on the right setting and that’s going to take months to figure out but most of the day I’m no longer in pain and that’s a welcome break from the last 3 months.”

In May last year, Michelle revealed live on This Morning that after discovering her fiance had cheated.

Sitting down with and , Michelle told how her boyfriend of three years had proposed and just hours later a woman got in touch to drop the bomb about his infidelity.

She said: “He was with me when I got the first message saying ‘Is this person your fiance?’

“I thought it was a colleague, like this person knows you, and it took a while to figure out. My first reaction was shock.

“I was shaking and I kept saying, ‘Please tell me first I don’t want to find out from her’.”
