The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr. Sam Amadi, has indicated that President Bola Tinubu is likely to secure the middle belt in the 2027 election.

Amadi forecasts that this outcome hinges on just two 'games' involving Tinubu and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, after which he would declare the region in favor of Tinubu.

The former head of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) made this remark in a post on X on Saturday.

This statement comes in light of speculation regarding the defection of former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami, from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Amadi noted that such political changes are facilitating President Tinubu's ability to garner support in the middle belt.

He stated: “They are making it easier for Tinubu to win the middle belt. It depends on just two games from Tinubu and Peter Obi, and I will declare the zone for Tinubu.”
