A TEENAGER saved his own life by disregarding his GP's advice and utilizing ChatGPT to identify a rare medical condition.
Kahlan Eales, 17, went to his local clinic because he felt weak and was struggling to recover from a cold.

His feet had turned blue, and he was having difficulty moving.
The doctor had informed him that he had a blood circulation issue and recommended that he stay warm and wear gloves.
However, the college student believed he was experiencing something far more serious and detailed his symptoms to an AI while on a bus returning from seeing his girlfriend.
He was astonished to discover that he might have Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a condition in which the body's immune system attacks the nerves.
This can lead to weakness, numbness, and potentially life-threatening paralysis.
Kahlan, along with his mother Lean Constanine, visited the A&E in November, where doctors confirmed the diagnosis and quickly transferred him to Bristol Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Kahlan, a law and criminology student at Cirencester College in Gloucestershire, said: “I use ChatGPT for schoolwork and everyday questions.
“My symptoms had worsened, so I input them into the AI, and it returned a diagnosis of GBS.
“I couldn't believe it when the hospital confirmed, ‘you’re right.’”
He has since been moved to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and now anticipates being discharged within days.
Kahlan added: “GBS gradually paralyzes you upward and could have caused me to stop breathing.
“The fact that I had to rely on AI for an accurate diagnosis is astonishing. While it won’t affect my faith in the NHS, it does change my perception of local GPs.”
