The Chancellor's top aide, Katie Martin, was recognized for “rebuilding Labour’s relationship with business.”

Peerages were also awarded to Sir Keir’s former chief spin doctor Matthew Doyle and advisor Carol Linforth.

The Prime Minister additionally appointed Richard Walker, the boss of Iceland Foods, to the Lords after he switched parties.

Kemi Badenoch utilized her allowance to grant a peerage to the outspoken Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies.

The sports star has been a strong advocate for various issues.

She was granted three peerages, while Sir Ed Davey received five additional Lords nominations.

However, Mr. Farage's request for some peers was declined due to his party only having five MPs.

He previously wrote to the Prime Minister requesting peers, citing his position at the top of the polls.

Every Prime Minister tends to fill the House of Lords with their political allies to facilitate the passage of legislation through the chamber.

The House of Lords is the second-largest legislature in the world, following Congress.

Sir Keir had previously promised to abolish the House of Lords entirely but later revised his stance to focus on reform instead.

A Labour source commented: “The Tories have filled the House of Lords, creating a significant imbalance that has hindered our efforts to improve the lives of working families.”

“This imbalance needs to be addressed to fulfill our mandate from the British public.”

“We will continue to advance our reform agenda, which includes eliminating the right of hereditary peers to sit and vote in the Lords.”
