Celtic's head coach, Brendan Rodgers, has shared an encouraging injury update regarding Kelechi Iheanacho, as reported by DAILY POST.
Iheanacho was initially anticipated to be out for an extended period due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the Hoops' UEFA Europa League match against Sturm Graz last Thursday.
However, Rodgers has disclosed that the Nigeria international is expected to be sidelined for only a few weeks.
“Alistair and Kelechi are probably not as serious as we first thought, but I’m not sure they’ll be ready for Wednesday. They will definitely be out for a few weeks,” he told The Celtic Way.
Iheanacho joined Celtic Park on a free transfer this summer.
He has netted twice in four league appearances for the Scottish Premiership champions.
