A 16-year-old girl was followed and harassed by a stranger who was "staring at her" in a Sainsbury's store.
Detectives investigating this frightening incident have released an image of a man they wish to speak with.
The teenager was shopping on Greens Lane on Sunday, November 9, when she noticed a man staring at her.
Upon leaving the store, the man followed her and approached her outside.
The man allegedly complimented her and inquired about her home before discussing properties he owned.
The frightened schoolgirl expressed that the encounter left her feeling "scared" and "intimidated."
When a courageous shop worker intervened, the man fled the scene.
Officers have pursued various leads to locate the man but have not yet been able to identify him.
They are now appealing to the public for assistance in finding the suspect.
PC Olivia Pettitt, who is investigating the case, stated: “This behavior is entirely unacceptable and made the girl feel scared and intimidated.
“We take all reports of harassment and intimidation very seriously.
“Since this incident was reported to us on November 9, we have followed several lines of inquiry.
“We genuinely need the public's assistance. We have released an image of a man who could aid our investigation.
“Do you recognize the man in the image? Are you the man in the image? Please contact us as soon as possible.”
