Buchanan, from Dundee, was denied bail when he appeared in in last Thursday.
has now tracked down photos of the alleged hacker.
One shows him fresh-faced aged around 14.
Another was given to prosecutors by Scotland.
They said they believed it to be Buchanan.
Earlier this week Buchanan’s father Robert agreed his son was a “computer whizz”; but denied he was involved in Scattered Spider.
He told the Daily Mail: “[He’s been into that] since he was six years old, he has always been on his computers.
