The former Benue Commissioner for Power, Renewable Energy, and Transport, Mr. Omale Omale, has refuted any associations with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement released on Monday in Makurdi, Omale emphasized that, as a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he sees no reason to leave the party.
Recent media reports have suggested that he was entertaining relations with the ADC.
However, Omale stated that he has invested significantly in the APC and is not prepared to abandon the party now that he is on the verge of reaping the rewards of his efforts.
The former APC state legal adviser mentioned that Governor Alia is his political leader and the head of the APC in Benue; thus, he has no reason to cease supporting him.
“I have overcome challenges and triumphed over adversaries, both internal and external, to ensure the election of Gov. Hyacinth Alia in 2023.
“I was fortunate enough to be appointed as a commissioner in the state. I have a promising future in the party and firmly believe that my time is approaching.
“I cannot, in good conscience, achieve all this and then turn back to engage with a political party that is still trying to establish itself.
“These unfounded rumors are entirely false and seem to be designed to damage my positive relationship with our esteemed governor. What are these rumor-mongers afraid of? I am a devoted democrat and believe in adhering to the rules of politics.
“I am a supporter of Alia and will continue to stand by him. He is the leader of my political party and of the state, and I have no reason to stop supporting him,” he asserted.
