National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, on Monday said the 2023 governorship candidates of the Labour Party, Peoples Democratic Party, Peoples Redemption Party and New Nigeria Peoples Party in Plateau State have all defected to the ruling party.
Yilwatda said the structures of all the political parties have collapsed into APC, making the party more powerful.
Speaking in Jos during the official welcoming of Governor Caleb Muftwang into APC, Yilwatda vowed to ensure that President Bola Tinubu wins in 2027.
He said: “Because you are an addition to me. You are an addition to the party. With the unity of the new generation next and the time is now.
“Collapsing PDP and APC into one today my joy knows no bounds because the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party is now in APC, the gubernatorial candidate PDP is now in APC, the gubernatorial candidate of PRP is now in APC. Even the one of NNPP is now in APC.
“So all the structures of all the political parties that contested in Plateau State in 2023, they’ve all collapsed into one political party, more powerful, stronger, united, more intimidating, more prepared.
“Well, I’m prepared to win 2017 for President Bola Tinubu. Your Excellency, today we are stronger, today we are better, today we are more united. We are going to pilot Plateau State.
“We give direction to Plateau State, we ensure that the motto of our party which is justice will promote on the plateau, social justice, equity in everything when distributed. Every person on the plateau will have the justice that they required across the state.
“No religious difference, no tribal difference, no sentiments. We’re going to move Plateau State in one direction, that’s the motto of our party.”
