PEREZ Hilton’s sister has described the horrific bathroom bloodbath she walked in on after the celebrity blogger’s self-harm livestream.

Barbara Lavandeira discovered before she raced to save his three children from witnessing the gruesome scene.

was rushed to hospital after concerned viewers alerted the police to a potential suicide attempt at his Miami home.

The TV star has reportedly been left “scarred” for life by the breakdown and could be kept under observation for up to six months.

His three children – Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8 – and Barbara were in the house at the time of the incident.

Now Barbara, 42, has recalled the traumatising moment she discovered her brother, “standing in front of the shower, naked, cut up, covered in blood, with a box cutter in his hand” in an interview with Page Six .

She told the outlet: “I didn’t recognize my brother when I looked at him. I saw it in his eyes. They didn’t look the same.

“Then, a split second later, he smiled at me. It felt like I was staring at someone else.”

Barbara said she rushed to shield Hilton’s children from the horror sight, telling them to run for the car before dialling 911.

She said a close friend who lives nearby was able to take the children away before police arrived.

Barbara said that “much more happened”, but that she was could not share specific details because they’re “too painful, graphic and overwhelming”.

She had sensed something wrong in the moments leading up to the horror discovery.

“That afternoon, Mario was in his bedroom with the door closed and locked, which wasn’t like him,” she said.

When she knocked on his door, Hilton – whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr. – told her everything was fine.

Barbara said: “After I knocked a few more times and asked him to open the door, he stopped responding.

“I tried calling his cellphone in case he couldn’t hear me, but he wouldn’t answer. Something just felt wrong.”

She said her “nightmare became a reality” when she discovered her brother with a box cutter by the shower.

Barbara said that August 4, the day of the incident, “will forever be one of the darkest days my family and I have ever experienced”.

Over the weekend, The Sun told how the celebrity blogger

A source has claimed to the Daily Mail that Perez is likely to have “permanent scarring” from his wounds.

They claimed while Perez knows “something happened” and that “things aren’t good”, he isn’t “100 per cent sure on what has gone on”.

“But he doesn’t have a lot of presence of mind. He’s not able to fully process what happened.

“This is not going to be something where in five days, I’m like, ‘he’s fine,’ This is months, maybe years,” they said.

It’s thought that Perez won’t return home upon his release from hospital, and will instead be moved to a secure psychiatric facility.

And when it comes to how long he will remain there, the publication reports it could be a lengthy stay.
