Obidient Movement Unveils Digital Protections to Prevent Rigging in Anambra Election

The Obidient Movement announced on Friday that it has implemented mechanisms and digital technologies to prevent rigging and manipulation in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.

It reiterated its dedication to ensuring that the electorate's voice in the election “is not stolen or silenced.”

The national coordinator of the movement, Yunusa Tanko, made this announcement at the George Moghalu Campaign Office located in Udoka Estate.

He stated: “We gather here today with a clear message of readiness, unity, and determination from the Obidient Movement as Anambra State prepares for its upcoming elections.

“Let it be stated unequivocally that the Obidient family is fully present in every part of Anambra State. We have completed the inauguration of our Polling Unit Commanders across all polling units in the state, totaling 5,720. From Awka and Awkuzu to Nnewi, and throughout every community, ward, and village, our grassroots structures are active, engaged, and vigilant.

“Our commitment is straightforward: to safeguard the mandate of the people and ensure that the voices of Anambra citizens are not stolen or silenced. Remember our GO MERD Campaign.

“We have established robust mechanisms and digital technologies to counter any attempts to rig or manipulate the electoral process.

“The time when results were fabricated in back rooms is over. This generation of Nigerians, this generation of Obidients, will not permit the old practices of electoral malpractice to persist.”
