The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has deployed 1,900 Corps members to Bauchi State for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation exercise.

State Coordinator of the scheme, Kufre Umoren, disclosed this on Tuesday in Bauchi while announcing the commencement of the programme.

He said registration would hold between September 24 and 26 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for September 26, while the exercise will end on October 14.

Umoren explained that only genuine graduates duly verified from their institutions would be admitted into camp. He added that discreet screening would be carried out to prevent impersonation or illegal entry.

“Registration dates have been communicated to the corps members, and they are advised to strictly adhere to camp rules and regulations. Defaulters will be sanctioned in line with the scheme’s extant rules,” he said.

He also cautioned corps members against embarking on late-night journeys, urging them to prioritize their safety.

During the three-week orientation, participants will undergo military drills, skills acquisition, and entrepreneurship training designed to prepare them for self-reliance after service.
