In a show of solidarity, the North-East leadership of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the party’s national leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, declaring that the party remains united and unshaken by the antics of expelled members attempting to sow division.

The declaration came during a crucial zonal meeting held in Bauchi, where leaders from six states resolved to resist any attempt to hijack or destabilize the party through misinformation and court misinterpretations.

A communique issued at the end of the North-East zonal meeting and read by the NNPP zonal vice chairman, Sabo Imam Gashuwa, reaffirmed the current leadership of NNPP as registered with INEC, which they said remained the only legitimate authority of the party.

The communique signed by state chairmen from Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, Taraba and Bauchi, reassured party faithful that the NNPP remains one family, deeply rooted in internal democracy and guided by Kwankwaso’s visionary leadership.

Speaking during the meeting, NNPP North-East Zonal Vice Chairman, Gashuwa, described recent claims by expelled members as “deliberate distortions” aimed at confusing loyal party members and misleading the public.

He cited constitutional and electoral provisions that validate the current leadership as the only authority recognized by INEC.

The communiqué also reiterated alignment with the NNPP National Secretariat's position on the April 3, 2025 statement regarding the FCT High Court ruling, which did not overturn the earlier Federal High Court judgment that upheld the expulsion of Boniface Aniebonam, Major Agbo, and others.
