CELEBRITY Hairstylist John Frieda has died age 75.
The “true icon of the hair industry” counted Diana, Princess of Wales and Joanna Lumley among his clients.

His death was announced on Tuesday night by a statement on his Instagram. The cause of death is not yet know but friends said he had been unwell.
The statement read: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our dear John passed away peacefully … surrounded by his family,” the Instagram post read.
“John was more than a mentor to us; he was a true icon of the hair industry. He was the person who taught us everything, believed in us, and made us better.
“His talent and passion touched so many, and his legacy will live on in every single one of us. We will continue to do him proud.”
John was known for his haircare products designed to tame frizzy hair and he sold his company for $450million in 2002.
The father-of-three also opened salons around the world which he continued running after he sold his business.
John was born in London in 1951 and began helping in his father’s hair salon at age 16.
