”First thing to recognise is that it’s hard,” she told the podcast duo and .

”Accept that you’re in the same boat as everybody else and don’t compare yourself everybody.

”I think there are some wild stats going around that once a week.”

According to Louise, 45, the data from her Instagram poll revealed an even more shocking reality – with her followers confessing to being intimate ”once every three months”.

While Anna revealed that she is ”certainly not” getting frisky once a week, things do spice up during holiday.

”Over the , we went away – with the kids, they’d gone to sleep.

”It was like, ‘Fancy a shower?’, ‘Yeah, go on then’,” she chuckled.

However, it was what happened after the that made the couple realise just how ”sad” their reality had become, Anna joked.

”We even fist-bumped each other after – that’s how sad it was.

”Because we were like, ‘Actually, we’re okay, we’re doing alright’.”

The sex chat also saw Louise open up about her intimate life – and how a trip away from home changed everything, at least for a short period of time.

”My husband and I managed to get away for three nights during August, which was absolutely amazing.

”I got to say, I think we had about a year’s worth of sex within those three days.

”But I think my husband then thought, ‘Oh, this is the new norm now’,” the mum-of-three chuckled.

”I was literally like, ‘Babe, we’re done, you’ve had your lot’.”

Finding time to get in the mood for a cheeky nookie when your house is a mess and kids are yelling is indeed almost impossible, the trio concluded.

”It’s just life,” said Anna, who confessed that she finds getting frisky in the bedroom ”really boring”.

”We mostly do that, I’m sure. But it’s when you need to shake things up.”

But while you shouldn’t compare your sex life to that of others, Anna also urged parents not to just ”put up” with having barely any action at all.

She reminded: ”You have to bother, you have to work hard in your relationship.

”Having children is wonderful – but it’s time-consuming and overwhelming.

”And it’s so easy, by default, for your partner to just fall at the back of the pile because I don’t believe that anybody can do it all.

”But with relationships I do believe that the antidote to that is quality over quantity.”

And that may not necessarily mean going out for glam dates – even a cheap curry whilst your kids are asleep or being looked after by your friends and family will remind you that you’re not just parents but also a couple.

”Just try and do what you can and when you can – but don’t sideline it.”
