WE’VE all pushed hair wash day a little too far at some point, but one woman has left people horrified after admitting to only washing her hair once this year.
Kilah Reigan, from the US, went viral earlier this year after confessing to not washing her for 93 days.

In the clip, she showed that her and dust, but that wasn’t the worst of it.
At some point, she found a dead moth hiding in her locks.
Many begged the young woman to start after seeing what was stuck in there.
But it seems Kilah has only just learnt her lesson.
In a recent video, Kilah confessed she had only washed her hair once this year.
And it wasn’t just her hair suffering from the neglect, she now had a large rash across her forehead, which she claims doctors said was a result of not washing her hair.
In the video, she wrote: “How I sounded when the doctor told me this rash was from only washing my hair once a year.”
She used a gospel song with the lyrics ‘love me’ over the video.
And that wasn’t all, Kilah revealed in another clip that she had now got bald patches along her scalp.
She confessed: “I need to wash it more often.”
The clip was posted to her TikTok account @ kilahreigan and quickly went viral with over 11 million views and 500k likes.
Many took to the comments, claiming they weren’t surprised by her diagnosis and said she only had herself to blame.
One person wrote: “Even my skin is crawling from just watching it from my phone, I’d scream if you were next to me.”
Another commented: “I will personally pay for you to go get your hair washed professionally.”
“I mean, what did you expect?” penned a third.
Scalp Care Tips For Summer
Dry, brittle hair, sunburnt scalps, and dull, dehydrated skin are common after summer holidays, yet entirely preventable. Just like your skin, your hair and scalp deserve care before, during, and after sun exposure. Here’s how to keep them healthy and radiant all summer long.
Why Protect Your Hair & Scalp?
UV rays weaken hair fibres, damage the scalp, and can even accelerate hair loss if you’re already experiencing thinning. Salt water, chlorine, and heat strip away moisture, leaving hair fragile and prone to breakage.
Pre-Holiday: Strengthen & Prep
Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. In the weeks before your trip, a non-invasive scalp treatment nourishes follicles, calms irritation, and builds resilience. Papilla by Kim Lim London , offers a relaxing therapy to summer-proof your hair.
On Holiday: Shield & Soothe
Be kind to your hair and scalp: avoid tight hairstyles, harsh brushing, and heat styling. Always rinse with fresh water after swimming to remove salt and chlorine. Stay hydrated, and protect with lightweight, moisturising serums to combat UV and environmental stress. When sun exposure is unavoidable, shield your scalp with a loose-fitting hat or scarf.
Post-Holiday: Repair & Revive
After your trip, soothe sun-stressed hair and scalp to prevent further damage. A scalp treatment can rebalance moisture, repair weakened follicles, and reverse UV and environmental effects, supporting healthy, strong regrowth, all without downtime.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “See what happens when you don’t listen.”
“My scalp genuinely started itching,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Shave it off and start over again.”
