Shocking moment thug pulls huge zombie knife from trousers and stabs man twice in broad daylight street attack after row

THIS is the shocking moment a thug pulled a huge zombie knife from his trousers and stabbed a man twice in a vicious broad daylight attack.

Luke Hurdowar, 23, pulled up his car alongside the victim, who was known to him, in Ilkeston, , at around noon on June 26.

CCTV shows how the pair became involved in a heated argument before the shirtless victim started throwing punches at Hurdowar on Cotmanhay Road.

But instead of backing off or engaging in a fist-fight the cowardly knifeman moved away from his car before reaching into the waistband of his trousers.

He was caught on camera pulling out a 30cm blade before he launched a brutal attack.

Disturbing footage captured the exact moment the thug lashed out with the weapon in the brazen street attack.

He stabbed the man twice, leaving him to collapse on the pavement while bleeding heavily.

Hurdowar was then seen on CCTV quickly getting into his car and driving away.

The injured man was rushed to hospital for treatment while Hurdowar fled the scene.

Cops later found Hurdowar travelling in the same car nearby but he attempted to flee from an officer on foot into a park.

Body-cam captured the officer and dog Ultor giving chase before the canine caught up and dragged the suspect to the ground.

Hurdowar, of no fixed address, was arrested, charged and remanded the following day.

He later admitted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.

Hurdowar was jailed for three years and nine months at Derby Crown Court on September 2.

Detective Constable Danielle Causer, of Derbyshire Police, said: “This was a brazen attack in the middle of the day on a afternoon.

“Although it was a targeted assault there were members of the public nearby at the time, including children.

“No-one should be made to feel that the streets they walk on with their children are unsafe and Hurdowar showed complete disregard for anyone else that day.

“Had there not been people around to come to the victim’s aid in the immediate aftermath of this incident, the outcome could have been very different.

“The effects of knife are felt far beyond the immediate victims, and we remain committed to tackling those who carry knives.”
